6-8 p.m. March 6

Join me and author Lynne Spreen for the Inlandia Institute-sponsored workshop on self-publishing. This session will cover creating your author website and using social media (everything but Facebook) to market your book.  Lynne will talk about her successes with blogging, e-mail blasts and other social media tools. The sessions are free and are held at the Welwood-Murray Public Library in downtown Palm Springs (corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Tahquitz). To sign up, send an e-mail to info@sunacumenpress.com.


3 p.m. March 11 (Saturday)

I will be at the Wheatmark Publishers booth (137) at the Tucson Festival of Books from 3 to 4 on Saturday, March 11, to sign copies of my Johnson Station novels and give readers a chance to win a unique (and tough) jigsaw puzzle, featuring downtown Johnson Station.The puzzles celebrate the release of the first two Johnson Station novels, Gracie’s Revolution and Jackie’s Campaign. Come by and enter the drawing for a Johnson Station jigsaw puzzle. The Tucson Festival is now the third largest book fair in the country, after Washington, D.C., and Chicago. and is held on the U of A campus.

 

 


10 a.m.-noon March 12 (Sunday)

I will be signing books in the Pavilion at the Tucson Festival of Books to sign copies of my Johnson Station novels. Come by and enter the drawing for a Johnson Station jigsaw puzzle featuring a “photo” of Johnson Station (on the right). The Tucson Festival is now the third largest book fair in the country, after Washington, D.C., and Chicago. and is held on the U of A campus.

 

 


6-8 p.m. March 20

This final session of the workshop series will cover creating your Facebook Author page and using Facebook marketing, book festivals and fairs, book signings, reviews and advertising. The sessions are free and are held at the Welwood-Murray Public Library in downtown Palm Springs (corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Tahquitz). 2 p.m. April 9 (Sunday)

I will be introducing Jackie’s Campaign and talking about my Johnson Station series at the monthly book-reading hosted by Donna Fitzgerald. Come and have a cuppa and enjoy the camaraderie of your Palm Springs writer friends.  Koffi at 71-380 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 (three blocks west of The River).
