Have you ever bought an independently (or self) published book, and wished later you hadn’t wasted your money? Have you ever published one? I will be leading a discussion titled “Raising the Bar on Indie Publishing” at the Indie Author Fair at the Corona Public Library as part of Indie Author’s Day. I will be discussing the IBPA’s recent development of an industry standards checklist for professionally published books and Sunacumen Press’s standards for writing quality. The event is sponsored by Inlandia Institute and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (food trucks nearby). I will also be representing the Palm Springs branch of the National League of American Pen Women on a panel discussion “Why a Writers’ Organization Might be Right for You.” Also represented on the panel will be people from the Diamond Valley Writers Guild, PoetrIE, Coffee House Writers Group, and Wild Lemon Project.
